Today’s bits and pieces

August 2, 2011

Well, Trev didn’t work today so he finished plowing the front field with his new plow.

He started out a bit rough but got into the rhythm and the field ended up looking pretty good.

After he finished plowing, he couldn’t wait to get at the back field. Now that field was cut a while ago and it’s been raining on and off ever since. He checked the crop and it was really dry because it was all timothy grass and no clover or other heavy weeds that hold water. As I write this, he is tedding it (stirring it up). He is like a kid in a candy shop!

OK, back to today’s additions to the quilt…

If you look closely at Celise’s left arm, you may be able to see the subtle change I made to the shape of one piece. I also finished two more little sections…

Did you spot the new bits?

I’ll show you a close-up…

Now you can see them, right?

The soother and the bit of dress over her left shoulder.

Just to give you an idea of what goes into this; there are 10 pieces of fabric in the soother alone! Yeah, 10!

Keep an eye on my gallery page as well as I am adding a lot more quilts…

It’s coming along nicely Carol. I enjoy seeing your progress pictures and seeing this little beauty jump off the screen at you! Trevor looks like he’s having fun! Hopefully the weather holds out and it doesn’t rain too much.
