Tuesday – Day 5

January 19, 2011

Well, we did make it to Oklahoma City! It was a nice clear day to start with…

Early morning - St Louis

We had no difficulties today. No detours, etc. Garmin behaved.

Some of the scenery…

Six Flags

The day did get colder and rainy but over all, not a bad day.

Barns near St Louis

Great old barn

Notice the nice green grass here.

Green grass!

Low billboards

I thought these low billboards were a great idea, they didn’t block any views!

Lots of these around

How about this for a McDonald’s?

What a McDonalds!

Hard Rock casino

This casino was out in the middle of nowhere.

Beautiful scene near Oklahoma City

You can see how pretty the scenery was getting near Oklahoma City. The sky was blue again by this time and the temp. was warmer. About 7 degrees.

And just for all you PEI’ers…check out this RED dirt! It felt like home…

Red dirt!

We plan on spending the day with friends in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas tomorrow. Tune in again and thanks for all the comments.

Interesting to see how wide open everything is… I knew it was, but looking at these pictures really brings it home.

Hey guys, that green grass you saw in Oklahoma is really fields and fields of their winter wheat. Our old stomping grounds. Safe Travel. Joyce and Ed
